Founded in 1989 as an independent sales agency to promote General Carbide products in the UK, General Carbide|UK has evolved into a fabrication, grinding and assembly shop serving the oil and gas production sector by manufacturing carbide and steel wear-resistant valve assembly components used in North Sea drilling operations. We also use our 12,500 square-foot facility in the East Midlands to supply manufacturers with a variety of metal forming punches, dies, fastener tooling and wear parts. General Carbide|UK is an affiliated company of U.S.-based General Carbide Corporation, which has its headquarters near Pittsburgh, PA, USA.

General Carbide manufactures more than 50 grades of tungsten carbide tooling for a variety of industrial wear and metal forming applications, including:
